The Hemlock was approximately 40 foot tall and stretched from the hillside on the right all the way across our front walkway to the edge of the hill going down to the left. So I wielded my trusty machete and blazed a passable 'archway' through the branches of the tree. I really did not want to remove the ones in our way because they were supporting the weight of the tree and the live power wires were directly underneath the tree. Somehow I could not make myself clear to the power company that this was a dangerous situation if things had caught fire, but I was not going near the power lines unless I absolutely had no other choice.
