Here in Humboldt Bay Wildlife Refuge, we see a few Pelicans flying around. We also saw a Grebe which is a part of the loon family. We were told that at times there are so many birds here that you can not hear yourself think! The other interesting thing about this refuge is that they allow canoes, kayaks and rowboats - but no motors!
