Now that is a big tree! If you
can't read what the sign says, "Giant Tree. Recognized by the American
Forestry Association as the National Champion Coast Redwood Sequoia Sempervirens.
November, 1991. Height 363 Feet. Circumference 53.2 feet. Average Crown
Spread 62 feet. Humboldt Redwoods State Park." As I mentioned earlier,
this is the champion as is estimated, but they don't give an estimated
age. We saw others that were estimated at 1,500 years and so on, so I
have been saying that this one could be anywhere from 1,700 to 2,000 years
old, but purely a guess..... Uh, what year is this?
