Pantry
The uhhh, Pantry! yes, well, it looks like a run down room, doesn't it? Well the room has been gutted and am in the process of installing insulation (no insulation in the outside wall!), repairing the floor and other projects in this small room. The power for the house also is housed in here and one of the first things we did was to upgrade the service from 150 amps to 200 amps so that I could effectively fix the electrical problems that are found in the house. Oy! Lots of electrical problems.

The next couple of pictures show the left hand wall from above with no insulation in the wall. Please keep in mind that this is an outside wall to the house. So, I got the inside paneling out of there and installed R-13 insulation. I have since discovered that more than likely the entire kitchen is insulated with R-7. That will not get redone immediately, but probably in the future the kitchen will be gutted and re-done - at least the walls. The floor probably also has R-7 in it since that is what I have found in the floor in the pantry. I am also looking at re-routing the white drainpipe that you seeand the water pipes that are difficult to see to in the floor. Taht only leaves the septic stack that would be showing for plumbing. We will use a wire brush on it and give it a good paint job so it isn't such an eyesore.
